The Popular Show Campaign 4 Unveils the Fighters Party
From the very beginning of Campaign 4, fresh DM Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with rich lore, a colorful mix of characters, and a exciting storyline including angels, evil spirits, and sinister influences growing in strength within the urban setting.
Note: Spoilers for the latest installment of Campaign 4 follow below.
The Soldiers Table Revealed
The third episode concluded with a major cliffhanger and revealed the first table of characters who will branch out from the main group to embark on their separate journey, apart from the remaining groups.
The Soldiers table consists of the determined fighter (portrayed by Travis), Thimble (the talented performer), Tyranny (Whitney Moore), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie).
Why Split the Party?
With a large ensemble, it was clear from the beginning that maintaining everyone at one table would be unfeasible.
Hence, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Introduction, intertwining the characters’ stories before dividing into three distinct groups: Soldiers, Planners, and Explorers.
The Nature of the Warrior Group
As described by the DM, the combat-focused party is for players who enjoy a classically intense fight-heavy story mode where peaceful solutions are scarce.
Upon first impression, characters like the reluctant priest Wicander Halovar might seem out of place, but the developments of the latest installment make it clear why these particular heroes are best suited for the Soldiers table.
Reasons to Leave
For one thing, the group understands precisely where to head next after a intense initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.
A former ally of the deceased character—whose demise started the campaign’s events—used the enemy for his personal gain, entering Thjazi’s hideout, attacking the character, and taking all the powerful objects to sell off.
Casimir then cleared his obligations and fled to a secure base in the remote area, above the urban center, with Teor’s brother pursuing him.
Individual Reasons
Moreover, each character has a specific drive to depart Dol-Makjar:
- The rogue, as the companion and closest confidant, wants revenge.
- Kattigan knows the region and cautions that it is a dangerous place.
- Tyranny and The cleric, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to execute the fighter and instead saved him, have no safe haven.
- But, their position as prominent individuals in the powerful family could help the party enter locations they usually can’t.
- Additionally, Teor pledged a eternal obligation to Wicander for his deliverance and will now follow him anywhere.
Wanted and Hunted
In addition, all of them are wanted by the rulers that control the city for a variety of reasons, making lingering locally dangerous:
- Thimble and The hero are notorious outlaws.
- The warrior and The cleric defied the influential house and the horde of evil beings they are aligned with.
- The target is wanted dead by House Halovar.
This means them no alternative but to journey toward the remote area in search of the traitor.
What’s Next?
Based on episode three’s Cooldown, we discover that the combat party will be absent in the upcoming installment, leaving the other eight players to assemble the Questers and Strategists parties.
Viewers can expect discovering which characters will be where in the season’s final introductory chapter, available to watch on the upcoming Thursday.
