I'll overwhelm 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be shown live on Netflix.
Briton Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" the American as the pair met personally to promote the upcoming boxing match.
Ex two-time world boxing king Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
Despite these statements, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead targeted former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the novice is still one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
