The EU could “act quickly and firmly” against what it calls “unwarranted” visa bans imposed by the United States on five European individuals working on fighting digital hatred and misinformation, an EU official has said.

EU Officials Condemn US Action as ‘Intimidation’

Officials from Europe such as Emmanuel Macron charged the US administration of “bullying and threats”, following the visa restrictions were placed on individuals who have been central to campaigns to enact legislation regulating American tech companies.
